The original Heatwave was formed in London in 1969 ~ we earned our brick in the Cavern Club Wall Of Fame by playing a week's residency at the club in 1971.

2nd November 1970, Heatwave released Sister Simon (Funny Man) b/w Rastus Ravel (Is A Mean Old Man) (PEN 738), on the Larry Page Penny Farthing Records label.
Both songs were written and produced by John Edward for Instant Sound Production.

2nd April 2013, Particles label [previously, Past & Present Records] released, 'Piccadilly Sunshine, Part Twelve – British Pop Psych and Other Flavours 1967-1971' ... which included 'Rastus Ravel (Is A Mean Old Man)' as track 4.
